NANA PRINCESS HOTEL, located on the picturesque coast of Crete, is a unique place that has been attracting guests with its top-class hospitality, luxury and privacy since its opening, and has become one of the most popular and desirable vacation destinations, where once you come, you will want to return again.
NANA PRINCESS, part of the Karatzis Group of companies founded by Antonios Karatzis, was opened in 2018 in Hersonissos and the hotel has been awarded five stars for its first-class service and has been highly recognized in the hospitality industry.
Perched majestically on a hill with beautiful views of the Cretan Sea, NANA PRINCESS with its luxurious suites and villas, immersed in lush greenery and connected by ornate pathways, is like a mosaic creating its own unique landscape.
Guests are welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine or specialty iced tea in the elegant lobby and the attentive staff, headed by the General Manager Manolis Maris, treats each guest as a member of the royal family, because all visitors of the hotel are VIP-clients.
This is the main concept of the hotel’s hospitality philosophy, which is strengthened from year to year and gives guests only the best and unforgettable experiences.
ACCOMMODATION
NANA PRINCESS offers 107 impeccably designed suites and villas. Each room has a modern layout and is furnished to the highest aesthetic standards down to the smallest detail.
Most rooms have private pools with sun loungers and relaxation areas, while some rooms have private steam rooms, saunas and even gyms.
All rooms have all modern amenities (air conditioning, digital TV, Nespresso coffee maker, electric kettle, minibar) and features to ensure guests have a comfortable stay and access to the latest technology, from intelligent lighting systems to heated and temperature-controlled swimming pools.
The bathroom features chromotherapy lighting and mirrored LCD TVs, as well as all the necessary bath amenities and perfumes from luxury French brand Hermès.
GASTRONOMY
Your stay will be enhanced by the culinary offerings of all the hotel’s restaurants and bars, where you can sample Cretan, Greek and international cuisine combined with a wide selection of excellent wines and soft drinks.
To start your morning with a sumptuous breakfast Carpe Diem restaurant offers a buffet breakfast from 07.30 to 11.00 with a large assortment of local delicacies, cheeses and meats, fish, fruits, vegetables, fresh pastries and bread (over 20 different varieties!), fantastic desserts, freshly squeezed juices and various types of coffee.
For those committed to healthy eating, there is a special Fitness table with low-calorie products, and there is also a station with gluten-free products.
Cretan Corner will find local cheeses, olives and other products that abound on the island. Some options are served à la carte.
If you want some privacy and enjoy romantic breakfast with the first rays of the sun on your terrace, it’s time to try Room Service.
You can have a special morning setup with caviar and champagne, which we also experienced on one of the days of our stay. And that was fabulous.
The team prepared all the meals with great performance, in the best traditions of in-room dining experience.
But not only breakfast can be delivered to your room: you can also order a sumptuous lunch or dinner, which will be served in the living room or on the terrace.
From lighter food like Salads & rolls to Pasta, main course and desserts. And of course wines of choice or champagne.
In the afternoon, while sunbathing by the pool or on the hotel’s own sandy beach, or in the evening, you should definitely stop by the bar to relax with a specialty cocktail or other drinks available throughout the day.
2 evenings in a row we were welcomed in our favorite restaurants — Meat-In Point and Eternal Blue.
Meat-In Point with its recently renewed concept offers a relaxed atmosphere to indulge in fine meat dishes inspired by Mediterranean flavors and international culinary trends, complemented by excellent Greek wines.
Here we tried amazing steaks — Wagyu and Beef Tenderloin, complemented with various sides: Grilled Asparagus, Patatas Bravas with Parmesan cream and Mashed Potatoes with Truffle.
Located next to the beach and filled with heady sea air, Eternal Blue restaurant is the perfect place for fish and seafood lovers, featuring a wide selection of seafood, sushi, sashimi (which we selected) and the must-have catch of the day accompanied by the best international and Greek wines.
The wine list includes a great selection wine items, some more exclusive of them available by glass in CoraVin.
The last evening we decided to check out the Italian restaurant Azzurro, located in the neighboring All-Inclusive sister hotel Nana Golden Beach, to which NANA PRINCESS guests need to have a reservation in order to dine (comes with extra charge). This opportunity makes for an even more varied vacation.
Before dinner, we had a couple of aperitif cocktails in newly opened Bar Orama (adults only) located right next to Azzurro.
Perfect place to enjoy the sunset and stunning views of a seascape.
Azzurro serves dishes that reflect the temperament of Italy, where each dish takes you on an interesting culinary journey through this sunny country.
Classic Italian cuisine with popular savory classics like hot pizza with mouth-watering toppings, as well as all sorts of interpretations of classic pasta dishes made with fresh Mediterranean ingredients.
However, since Nana Golden Beach is all-inclusive hotel, the choice of wines is more focused around this concept. So if you’re expecting something extraordinary and exquisite, you won’t be able to get it here.
SPA & WELLNESS
Another must of our stay was a visit to the Royal Wellness Club, where in a luxurious setting you can restore your energy balance through the SPA SYSTEM: different types of steam rooms, saunas, rain showers, chromotherapy, ice chamber, aromatherapy.
The Spa also has a gym, solarium, hairdressing salon and an indoor freshwater pool. After the treatments, it is nice to relax in the specially equipped rest rooms while enjoying a relaxing tea.
