Gonçalo Gonçalves

“9 years of my career I was lucky enough to work at the Four Seasons Ritz Lisbon, which was the first big hotel of my career, — says Gonçalo Gonçalves. — Then I was offered to go to work abroad, but I decided to stay in Portugal due to family reasons, and the next step was the unique hotel São Lourenço do Barrocal in Alentejo. The experience of working in these unique hotel has given me a lot for further professional realization. When I returned to Lisbon, I took over as General Manager at BAIRRO ALTO HOTEL, just 3 weeks before the pandemic started. It was a real challenge. However, despite everything, our team continued to work on the internal processes of the hotel and its improvements. And I can say that only from July 1, 2021, after the restrictions were lifted and our hotel reopened for visitors again, I was able to fully and joyfully feel its normal operation”.

For me, from the point of view of self-development and realisation of professional ambitions, such hotel concept is an ideal platform for this.
