BVLGARI HOTEL ROMA: The New Jewel of the Timeless Collection

BVLGARI HOTEL ROMA is a new expression of Bvlgari style in the Eternal City, where every detail of design, warm hospitality and upscale services reflects the unique traits of Italian elegance. Offering exquisite accommodation, exclusive culinary destinations, prestigious boutiques and diverse programs, the hotel embodies the spirit of the Bvlgari jewelry house, which is rooted in the history and wealth of Rome.

BVLGARI HOTEL ROMA, part of Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts, opened on June 9, 2023, is the ninth jewel in the Italian luxury hospitality collection. In 2024, the hotel was awarded Best Hotel in the World by Virtuoso Travel (a prestigious international luxury travel association).

BVLGARI HOTEL ROMA is located in one of the most significant places of the city on Piazza Augusto Imperatore, in the Campo Marzio district, just a short walk from famous landmarks such as Via del Corso, the Piazza di Spagna, Trevi Fountain and Bvlgari’s historic Via Condotti boutique.

The hotel building was built between 1936 and 1938 by the architect Vittorio Ballio Morpurgo and is a brilliant example of rationalist architecture. It was then restored in accordance with the special attention to detail that Bvlgari pays to its creations, as evidenced by the countless architectural solutions throughout the hotel.

The BVLGARI HOTEL ROMA‘s connection with ancient Rome and its first Emperor Augustus is indissoluble — the façade of the hotel is decorated with large-scale mosaics, the south side is adorned with a bas-relief Latin inscription “Here the soul of Emperor Augustus soared” and the hotel lobby features his original statue.

This is one of the best places to appreciate the city’s development over the millennia. The views of ancient imperial Rome and modern architecture are breathtaking, and materials such as ochre travertine, white marble and burnt red brick symbolize the power and wealth of the Eternal City as one of the most beautiful destinations in the world and an enduring cradle of art and culture.

The design of the interiors was entrusted to the Italian architecture and interior design firm ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, who oversee the design of all Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts properties.

The designers managed to soften the aesthetic austerity of stone and clean architectural lines by combining them with rich textures and interior materials. Wallpaper and textiles inspired by Bvlgari designs, handmade marble mosaic rosettes, Murano glass, lamps, original Ginori vases from the 1930s, and Venetian blown glass walls are just some of the elements that adorn the hotel.

BVLGARI HOTEL ROMA is committed to providing guests with the highest level of service, through precise organization and by providing impeccable, authentic and relaxed service, once again underlining the brilliant Bvlgari style.

We had an opportunity to experience the Deluxe Suite, one of the 12 suites in this category. Each suite expresses the brand’s Roman roots through one of four color palettes, featuring Mediterranean marble bathrooms, fine textiles, art and paintings, Arco lamps by Flos, and mosaic rosettes.

Our acquaintance began with breakfast at the atmospheric IL Caffè, located on the ground floor of the hotel on a spacious open space beneath the majestic porticoes of Piazza Augusto Imperatore and surrounded by large vases of flowers. IL Caffè is the first of its kind in Italy and the first to be created by Nico Romito, the renowned Italian 3 Michelin star chef.

The big advantage of breakfasts here is that they’re available all day long and are only served à la carte. This allows you to have your morning meal at your preferred time, without caring about breakfast hours at all.

We tried different savory options: Eggs Benedict, ham and hollandaise sauce, Wild Red King Alaskan salmon and avocado Toast, Ham and fontina cheese toast.

Sweet selection is not less appetizing: must-try “Maritozzo” with whipped cream, Sliced fresh fruit, Pastries of the day, Brioches with chocolate, custard cream or jams. And indeed — Selection of Niko Romito bread, “manteca” butter, organic jams, vegan chocolate spread and honey

Refreshing healthy mixes such as Green (Pineapple, spinach, fennel, celery) or Detox (Apple, carrot, beetroot, lemon, ginger) are a nice addition to the morning menu. There are also vegan dishes available, as well as large selection of coffee and tea.

IL Caffè is also the perfect place to enjoy coffee with desserts, a traditional Roman lunch or weekend brunch.
