There are moments in time when fashion transcends the merely beautiful to become something enduring, evocative and sacred. For Autumn/Winter 2025, Freya Rose unveils The Amber Hour — a luminous footwear collection where form, tradition and audacity converge in exquisite harmony.
Known for her unapologetically refined aesthetic and her masterful command of artisanal technique, the British designer once again redefines contemporary elegance. Drawing inspiration from the ephemeral glow of the setting sun — known in Japanese as Yūyake (夕焼け) — this collection captures the incandescent moment between light and darkness, tradition and modernity, stillness and expression.

The palette is nothing short of arresting: obsidian black, jewel-like green, incandescent gold, and fiery blood orange, all rendered in the finest Italian suede and leather. The silhouettes are architectural yet fluid, a marriage of bold geometry and feminine grace. At the heart of each design lies Freya Rose’s iconic couture heel, hand-inlaid with ethically sourced mother of pearl, crafted in partnership with generational artisans in Indonesia — a process that can take over 18 months to complete.
The Amber Hour honours more than just beauty. It stands as a quiet rebellion against disposability, fast fashion, and homogenised luxury.
This is not simply footwear; it is sculpture for the soul. Each pair echoes the poetic lines of Japanese masterpieces like Hokusai’s Red Fuji, with curves that whisper of ancient brushwork and powerfully restrained composition. There is something spiritual in the collection’s balance — a disciplined minimalism offset by flashes of sumptuous detail.

Among the collection are three new couture shoe designs, each conceived as a wearable relic of modern femininity, and a complementary clutch, adorned in glowing mother of pearl. These are not fleeting fashion moments — they are future heirlooms made for the woman who dresses with intention and collects with reverence.
With her unwavering commitment to slow, meaningful craftsmanship, Freya Rose elevates ancestral techniques into modern talismans — pieces imbued with memory, artistry and soul. Each creation tells a story of fire meeting form, of woman meeting her reflection in art, and of heritage shaping the future. The Amber Hour is a celebration not only of craftsmanship, but of the women who wear it — bold, radiant and fiercely original.
Jewels with a journey…
Afghan artistry meets British elegance
Meanwhile, Freya Rose is unveiling a powerful new jewellery collaboration with Turquoise Mountain, the charity founded by His Majesty King Charles III to preserve heritage craftsmanship and uplift artisan communities.

Blending Freya’s signature artisanal style with centuries-old Afghan techniques, the collection honours the beauty of cultural legacy while empowering Afghan women artisans.
This partnership holds deep personal resonance for Freya, whose own journey was supported by The King’s Trust. Today, she serves as an ambassador for its Change A Girl’s Life initiative, bringing her story full circle in this meaningful collaboration.
