“We are very proud of our herbs, vegetables and fruits grown in our own vegetable garden and in the QUINTA DA COMPORTA garden, which are used in all our dishes, — says Mário. — On more than one and a half acres of land, zucchini, eggplant, bell pepper, beets, coriander, parsley, mint, basil, lemongrass, citrus fruits are grown every season. Moreover, each of our guests, walking in the garden, can enjoy fresh fruits directly from the tree. We also have our olive oil, which is produced especially for us under our name”.

Mário Stromp: “QUINTA DA COMPORTA adheres to the principles of sustainable development, tending to restore pre-existing structures and materials throughout the territory. We opted for a low impact construction concept for the entire resort, with the least impact on the environment. Preserving authenticity with the addition of modernity and luxury was our important criterion so that visitors have as much opportunity as possible to become related to nature, enjoy its beauty, but at the same time get a comfortable stay with all amenities and maximum pleasure.”
