“I have always been interested in the culture of different countries. I have worked in many restaurants in Spain, France, London, Stockholm, Sydney. But Asian culture and cuisine has made me an avid fan. I believe in vibrant food and experiences and I want to pass this on to people, — says Tomi Björck.

“I first entered the kitchen at the age of 16, and at 28 I opened my first restaurant in Helsinki, which became a hit among the Finns and the beginning of my gastronomic journey. And in 2017, I expanded my restaurant empire to the coast of Australia, where I now live with my family. But Finland is my homeland, my relatives and friends are here, and by opening a new restaurant in Helsinki, I want to present to my compatriots the richness of the unique Japanese culture”.

The main hall, separated by an airy wooden screen, has 80 seats, while a small bar full of charming elegance has 20 seats. This is the right place to enjoy cocktails expertly prepared by world-class bartenders, as well as relax both alone and in good company. During summer season panoramic windows are open and a cozy terrace in front of the restaurant is a place to chill before gastronomic immersion.

Tomi Björck: “SANCHOME is our 3rd project with Kämp Group. We were very carefully preparing for its opening, worked through everything to the smallest detail, worried. And now, finally we have fulfilled our dream, and the restaurant is open. We are proud of our efforts (smiles), but the most important thing for us is the appreciation of our demanding guests”.
