A GOLDEN MAYFAIR SETTING EMBRACES THE BRILLIANCE OF ZHONG ZIXIN

Cross-industry fusion is no new movement, neither transient, yet certain establishments have the savoir-faire to meld brands so harmoniously that it seems one.

This season sees VOGUE China hosting a highly anticipated affair as emerging Chinese designer Zhong Zixin unveils her Spring/Summer 2025 collection at Bacchanalia Mayfair’s exclusive room, Apollo’s Muse.

A golden marble-flooded space within London’s most decadent restaurant, Apollo’s Muse is an ode to Grecian and Roman maximalism with its velvet seating, mirrored surfaces, and gold-leaf-esc detailing. Exuding unparalleled opulence, the setting naturally attracts attuned brands to immerse themselves within. Enter Zhong Zixin, the inaugural winner of the VOGUE China Fashion Fund Chinese Designer Prize; a visionary who is continuously influenced by her heritage and seamlessly fuses Eastern aesthetics with a contemporary eye. The aesthete’s unique label has garnered acclaim from leading industry authorities in both the East and West; now, VOGUE China continues to showcase her unequivocal talent whilst simultaneously exhibiting the immense flair of China’s new generation of young designers, carving their path in today’s fashion realm.

A hedonistic and sensory overload, Bacchanalia serves as the ideal milieu for Zhong Zixin’s new collection, fittingly named Bacchus. Inspired by her childhood — where grapevines climbed the trellises sprinkling her abode with rich fruity aromas — the presentation infuses classical elegance with mythological vision. It acts as a flawless extension to Apollo Muse’s distinct design, inspired by ancient wonders of the world and home to antiquities dating back to 2AD — yet it all seems to purposefully exude modern escapism. The living museum’s aesthetic enhances the mystical enchantment of Zhong Zixin’s work, betwixt giant Damien Hirst statues and a peppering of Gary Myatt murals.

An artistic eruption within a coveted in vogue dining destination, gratifying the most discerning tastes and harmoniously exhibiting cross-industry magic.
