The history of the hotel began in 1992, when the VILA VITA Parc founders Dr. Reinfried and Mrs. Anneliese Pohl discovered a unique cliff-top site in the Algarve and set about creating a dream.

The pride of the hotel is the Cave de Vinhos wine cellar, where more than 11 000 bottles of wine from all over the world are stored under 150-year-old Gothic vaults.
