Brand History & Design
LOTTE HOTEL ST. PETERSBURG is currently the only LOTTE GROUP hotel located in a historic 19th century mansion on Isaac’s Square. At different times, great people lived and worked here: at the beginning of the 19th century it was the residence of the first US ambassador to the Russian Empire, a little later — the sixth US president DK Adams. When the building was occupied by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, N.V. Gogol served there.
For some time the building was used as the Manege where elite horses were exhibited. Therefore, LOTTE HOTEL ST. PETERSBURG has a pleasant tradition to present little guests with a toy-horse symbolizing this time.
Rich history of the building inspired the new owners of the project to preserve the imperial spirit leaving the historic façade intact, while the interior was completely renovated using the latest technologies.
The most impressive decor elements of the hotel lobby is a huge chandelier made of Italian colored glass and a five-meter panel by famous St. Petersburg artists Y. Shelygov and I. Palkin depicting the Cathedral of the Savior on Spilled Blood as a symbol of St. Petersburg.
