Traveling a lot with her husband Johan Gilbe, and once, in one of the restaurants having tasted real truffle oil, Lina understood: “truffle came to me!”.

Returning home to Copenhagen Lina and Johan understood that everyone should have a possibility to indulge in truffle produce that is free from artificial aromas. «This was the start of our brand truffle & our friend — to make a sincere brand that is plant-based, natural and available for consumers to enjoy».

When creating the brand, Lina saw her product as completely different not only in taste, but also in packaging, corresponding to the Scandinavian laconic style.

«Also, we decided not to use any plastic for our products. Instead, we choose jars and bottles of glass that can be recycled or even better upcycled as a vase for a beautiful flower or containers for sugar, coffee or your sweets», — says Lina.
