THOMPSON MADRID is located on Calle De La Montera, which until the beginning of the 20th century was one of the main streets of Madrid, where aristocrats and high society walked to show themselves and see others. The most elegant and neat coffee houses, restaurants and boutiques were located here.
To this day, Calle De La Montera remains one of the busiest places in the city, with a variety of galleries, museums, culinary delights and cultural attractions on every corner.
Occupying two historic buildings, THOMPSON MADRID is a dynamic and elegant home that blends local architecture in a way that guests will always feel as if they are on an exciting journey and will always be welcome because there are no strangers in Madrid. everyone feels at home here.
The rich and fine design of the hotel was created by the Madrid-based design and interior design studio López y Tena, which was able to reflect the traditional architecture of Madrid within the walls of the hotel and created interiors that echo the sights, sounds and flavors of the city. Leather, marble and wood accents blend elegantly together to create a sense of timeless design paired with ultra-modern and exquisite amenities.
Getting to know the hotel begins in the lobby, where the Concierge Zone is located. The gastronomic concept of THOMPSON MADRID is represented by three worthy restaurants and bars located on different floors, managed by the famous Madrilenian restaurateur, fourth-generation chef Nino Redruello, bringing to restaurants the perfect combination of traditional Spanish dishes with an innovative approach.
Located at street level, The Omar Bakery & Bistro combines mid-century modernism with open-plan industrial spaces, inviting guests to sample handcrafted pastries and light snacks.
